A Personal Note
Born and raised in Colombia, Silvia brings a rich multicultural perspective to her work and life. She is deeply committed to building strong, connected communities where families feel seen, supported, and empowered. Silvia believes that when we surround ourselves with kindness, respect, and understanding — the core values of Nature’s Lab — we create the conditions for happier, healthier lives.
Her approach to education and leadership is grounded in compassion, curiosity, and a belief in continuous growth. Silvia encourages children and adults alike to reflect on life lessons and personal experiences as opportunities to grow into the best versions of themselves. Whether it’s through education, connection, or a simple walk through nature, Silvia helps others build meaningful communities around themselves.
Outside of the classroom, she loves hiking in the Sierras, gardening, and spending time with her son and the many animals that are part of the Nature’s Lab family.
